Tablula Rasa

If you are reading this, you are probably already aware that 2014 has brought big changes to my life. Or rather, I brought big changes to my life, and it happens to be a new year.

Tomorrow will mark my one week anniversary as a San Diego resident.

I left San Francisco because it was just time to do so. I always said it was a temporary stop on my life path, and I let life tell me when it was time to go. Through a lot of chance happenings and some major cahones on my part, Jan. 10, 2014 was that time.

I will miss things about SF. Mostly friends, but also knowing where everything is, the fog horn, the incredible views around every corner.

I will not miss the smells, the certainty that I'll never afford my own apartment, and the endless supply of people eager to tell me about why their lifestyle is the best one out there.

I have tried to blog before. 3 times actually. I enjoyed my first blog very much, until a friend said he thought it was written by a 12-year-old girl. I might have overdone it on the pictures of hot celebrity crushes.

This blog is an attempt to reflect, and to keep those of you who care updated on how things are going. It's pretty hard to have anything to say on a phone call, especially when you are unemployed, but here I can barf out all my thoughts and feelings and not feel weird about it. I might lose some of you right after this post. I might bore some of you to tears.
The great thing is...I don't care. I'm starting a new life here, people. If I occasionally post a photo of my future husband of the week (Andy Samburg, in case you wondered) you'll have to forgive me. Or don't., since I wont notice. ;)

**If you're wondering where ths blog title comes from, here is the song. It's perpetual sunshine.
around here, so it seemed to fit.
